Not really a true maroon
I would describe this color as a cross between purple and maroon. I actually had to put down dull red as my first base coat, then follow up with two coats of this maroon. My resulting color was just what I wanted. The problem began when I painted my interior without the dull red base...it looks much closer to purple. The paint itself is excellent.
Good Finish
This paint will leave a good finish on the project you are working on. The paint bonds with tamiya fine surface primer and goes best with the Tamiya White primer for a great finish. The paint takes multiple coats for a nice and even finish. The paint is best used for plastic models.
Excellent paint!
This was an excellent can of paint, very easy to spray, with great results. It's a beautiful, rich color that goes on very smooth with excellent coverage.
