You get what you pay for and Tamiya primer is no exception

If money is no concern and you want the best primer for your plastic model, then this is your ticket. Yes, primers you get from the hardware store may work (and save a little bit of money from a unit price perspective), but you never know what you're gonna get. As long as you're using Tamiya paints with this, you can assume an unexpected result from your paintjob is your fault and not Tamiya's.

This is a good primer, has excellent adhesion, goes on well, levels well, and even fills in small voids, dries fast too, the only downside is the smell, it's pretty bad, so deffinately for a well ventilated area, or better yet outside. but it is a fine primer.
Primer
By using this primer it give your model a better 1st coat/primer coat for the paint to adhere to the model kit. It also will bring out any defects on the model that needs to be fixed or sanded. Great primer but a bit on the pricey side.
Great Primer

Primer seems very basic, but I've used primers that were clearly not as good as this one, so I'm grateful to have it.

Does what it's supposed to, although it seems to be very thin yet doesn't go very far.
Nice one
Very good prime colour. easy to apply, colour sticks great to it.
