The best

Absolutely the best available for such a cheap price. I have no need for the dispenser, so I just get the refills. The factory edge on this tape is very straight and it goes down well without cutting a new edge. Sometimes I'll get paint peel if I don't weaken the adhesive before applying to an uncoated surface, but that's easily remedied by sticking and unsticking the tape to a clean piece of work surface a few times first.
The best out there
Not sure I can add anything that hasn't already been said. Test on scrape plastic painted with the same paint you are wanting to mask to be sure it won't lift paint during the unmasking process. De-tack by sticking to t-shirt if necessary. The only paints I have had it lift is Dullcote over Model Master gloss clear acrylic and Aqua Gloss clear acrylic. I always prime (Krylon) exterior & PE before color coats.
Excellent big size masking tape.

Superb masking tape for covering large surfaces in model kits. The difference with this Tamiya masking tape is the almost pinstripe thickness that allows you to follow contours and make turns without lifting. (just make sure your surface is clean from dust, debris, and oils, otherwise most, if not all tapes will fail or allow bleeding underneath). Highly recommended.
Best 5 stars.

Ok I have used other masking tapes even went to the box stores early on buying big rolls of tape for cheap. The problem I found is the residue regular tapes leave behind. Especially needing to leave the tape on overnight. Even though you may not see what other tapes leave behind your paint will find it.
Then I found plastic modeling masking tape. Enough said.
Best Tape Hands Down
By: simon.hogate
This is by far the best tape to almost guarantee there will be no paint overlap on what your protecting. It flexes a little, far better than any other tape I can think of but best of all is it great at protecting the piece you are protecting. Plus the price here is by far the cheapest my local hobby store charges $4 for it.
Easy to use.

I love Tamiya products. Even their masking tape is easier to use than the stuff you'll find at Home Depot, or the local hardware store. It's flexible, so it bends and wraps around those small tight spots modelers dread (and love). It is also easily removed and won't mess up the finish you're trying to protect.

Tamioya tape is great. Low tack. Won't peel off paint below as long as you let the undercoat dry, and paint won't bleed under the tape as long as you spray light coats and as long as you make sure it is making contact. Not so great for curves, though, but there is other tape intended for that.
Masking tape

This is a very convenient masking tape for all scale models - especially gundams (gunpla). It's small enough to cover the small spots I want to cover, and can be cut even smaller if necessary.
In terms of surface area, the 18mm wide, 18m long tape is the most cost efficient.
Tamiya 18 mm tape refill
The title says it all, this is a refill for the 18 mm dispenser. It can be used without the dispenser, however I like the dispenser for straight cuts. Regardless it is a quality product that I look forward to using.
Tamiya Masking Tape

I've found several sizes of Tamiya tape to be very helpful, both with holding parts together while the glue sets, and for masking for airbrushing. The tape holds a clean line, and comes off easily when done.
Outstanding tape

When needing to mask delicate areas such as canopies or aluminum finish this tape doesn't leave a residue, you can use cheap tape for areas that don't matter but I highly recommend having this on hand
Another great tape!!
Great tape for bigger projects to cover things up with or just to mask off areas. Same great tape that I've used in the 6 mm style. You won't be disappointed with this!! It's about 3/4 of an inch wide.
Very good masking tape !

It can be used on matte, semi gloss or gloss paints and all types of varnish. Sticky enough to prevent airbrushing problems but it does not alterate the base coat. Very good and easy tu use tape.
Best tape around

Best tape that I use found that doesn't bleed when using it for two tone paint jobs and when painting the body you can tape off parts that you doesn't want paint on.
Great Tamiya product

As with everything Tamiya, this is great stuff. You can also make gun slings and canvas bag straps with it, with some patience. Just cut small strips, glue and paint it.
Best masking tape for modlers

This stuff really works. It's easy to apply. It does not let paint under it. It leave no residue when it's removed and it removes easily.

This tape is perfect for masking windows and small parts to spray your clear top coats or accent colors.

This is great masking tape from Tamiya. The 18 mm width is very handy for many applications.

Best masking tape. Tight fit and when removed no adhesive left behind.
