Best product for pinwashes!
By: davidbrasure77
Great product to use as a pinwash! I us to make my on washe. I have used oil paints and have also used acrylic washes. I like this so much better. It flows great. It is very easy to use. Dark brown is the perfect color for olive drab or ww2 German 3 tone tank camo. Sometimes black can be to harsh and light brown can be to light in my opinion. If you use acrylic paint, be sure to use a clearcoat to protect the finish. I like to use pledge floor gloss(also known as klear). However it has been discontinued. I have heard that there is a product called quickshine that is similar but I have not tried it. Make sure that your clearcoat has fully cured not just touch dry.I like to give it a week just to be on the safe side. You can use q tips that are slightly damp with thinner to remove excess wash. I use Revell enamel thinner with no problems. I also prefer to use a small paint brush instead of q tips because it gives me better control and does not leave lint. Anyhow, this is the only product that I use for pinwashes.
I love the Tamiya Panel Line Accents

These Tamiya Panel Line Accents are terrific! They sure beat mixing your own by saving time and clean up effort. Great fir darkening panel lines, dirtying wheels and chassis' and adding smudges and streaks when weathering. Lot's of uses.
Excellent panel liner

This is my go-to panel liner. I use a gloss base of Tamiya X-22 and then this panel liner as you can use enamel thinner to remove the liner but it doesn't interact with the X-22 so your surface below is protected.
Works perfectly

Essential for detailed dark panel lines. This stuff is great, needed for any military models. Great for wooden decks of battleships, but works better if you spray with a clearcoat like future first.
Needs to be thinned.

It's an excellent product, but I feel that it needs a little thinning to run down panel lines.
