This is definitely my preferred flat finish over enamel or lacquer paint finishes. Mix it 1:1 with hardware store lacquer thinner and have never had a problem with it. It doesn't seem to be super flat when sprayed over a gloss-cote (as I will put down gloss-cote for decal adhesion, then flat-cote over it), so for an even finish, you have to gloss-cote everything on that surface so the semi-gloss effect doesn't stick out.

This is a matte varnish meant to dull the gloss off of your models. It's also a good adhesive for decals. Even though it has a yellowish tint it applies clear. However it seems a bit more glossy than it should be, especially when compared to the matte paints of Tamiya.

This product works as expected. Is not too much thin or thick so you don't need to apply 2 or more coats of product. It gets dry fast, so you must be quick. Do not forget to shake it well before use it.

I prefer thinning and airbrushing this instead of the spary can version, better control. Thin 1:1 to 1:3 paint to thinner ratio depending on air pressure, paint volume and distance from subject.

Best clear flat laquer out there...when you can find it, even my LHS didn't have any....HobbyLinc is the place to go for ALL your hobby needs.
