Great Multi-make Blue
Testors 1209 Arctic Blue is a versatile medium/dark blue for anyone looking for that fresh from the factory look. Each of The Big Three has produced shades of blue throughout the decades that this paint replicates fairly closely. It goes on smoothly and dries with good gloss right from the can. Also, it has the perfect metallic content, better suited for that strictly stock look than Testors 1844 Icy Blue Lacquer, which is so glittery it looks more like it belongs on a Mattel Hot Wheels car. It came out somewhere in between Liberty Blue and Windward Blue, two Pontiac colors from 1969. I usually don't apply a primer coat to car kits as too many paint layers can obscure fine details, but Revell's 1969 GTO was molded in an unconvincing Carousel Red (more like Traffic Cone Orange) that needed a complete primer coat to dim its Day-Glo appearance. A kit molded in white or gray wouldn't need priming for this paint but some modelers prefer to always do that.
Sweet Blue Metallic!!
This is an Awsome Medium to Dark Metallic Blue that would look Great on Any application! Sprays and Lays Wonderfully and Reacts Well with Testors Clear Gloss.
Beautiful Blue
This is a beautiful blue. Has the metallic effect to it. Its not dark or light. Looks perfect on a 67-69 Camaro
