Time Saver
I thought I would try this on panzer tanks with the Dark yellow base coat. Put tried it on a aircraft first and I was amazed how well it worked. PRO'S It laid down in the recess panel lines and grabbed on to hinge detail. One swipe with a q tip and the wash came off and stayed IN the panel lines. My other washes always like to come out and I have to re-apply them again and again. Other washes would also dry to fast and would stay on areas I didn't want covered. Not Testors. It worked good on German blue and light green, but not on the dark green colors. The black has a good DIRTY look to it. Going back and try on some of my completed kits. CON'S None. If you are like me, a builder of tanks and planes you need this.
Bring out the realism
Testors black is a great product. It give those model's a touch of realism. I have used it on model car parts that have been sprayed with testors acrylic and metalizer paints successfully. It really makes parts pop such as radiators fins and bolts. Make sure your paints have cured 100% before using. Remember, this is used for highlighting the nooks and crannies, not for painting something black. The product is painted on, wait 5 min, and dab with you brush to remove some wash and create some depth to your piece. enjoy!
