Reviews : Tichy-Train 40' Boom Car Kit

You can't get the crane without getting this to go with it. Tichy kits are fantastic and this one is no exception. Easier than the crane but still a challenge you will love. Use a good squaring jig of some kind to get the shed square during assembly. I will offer the same advice I offered on the crane: when cutting parts away from sprue, do NOT cut it flush. Cut closer to the sprue frame, the carefully trim away the excess. It is very easy to gouge the part.

Sometimes it's more fun to create your own model from a kit...Read all the instructions,take the parts out of the box, familiarize yourself with the all parts and give it a whirl.The fun comes when you create something out of a kit and paint it all up to your specifications.

Kit contains many very small parts and can be difficult for elderly people with large hands. The finished product looks very well on your HO railroad

I knew this product had to be built but had no idea it was so complex. A warning is needed.

This is an excellent kit, lots of detail. Fun to build! The molding detail is just perfect!
