It's a Trumpeter, bought it anyway cause I wanted a train.
Before X-mas of 2020 I told my family I wanted railcars from ww2. I ended up with five, four from trumpeter and one from dragon. Wasn't able to start on them till the end of 2022. I knew there would be problems with this model as I have built kits from Trumpeter before and have always had flash and fit problems. Well this kit was no different. It seemed that every third piece had to be trimmed of flash. I spent more time with a razor knife in my hand than the glue brush. The finished kit looks good but this review is based on the journey to get there. The fit was bad on a lot of parts. Also the directions had a few problems. Decal sheet numbers didn't match up with the numbers on the train. Decal number 3 on the instruction sheet is actually number 2 on the decal sheet (there is a photo showing more of this). Be careful when putting the clear plastic in the cab. Dry fit first. Found out the pieces for the front should have been on the rear of the cab. I would recommend leaving the ladders till last. I broke one off twice and ended up having to make one to replace it. The railroad ties don't all rise above the bed the correct height. Had to melt and trim between the ties in order to get the rails thru them. I would not recommend this kit unless you really really need to have a train. I did so I got it.
1/35 WWII German BR52 Kriegslocomotive
This is a large kit 710 pieces, for the pro builder, your going to have lots to do, Germany called it the Baureihe 52 mit Steifrahmentender. this kit is made by Trumpeter, the instructions are highly detailed, also comes with a nice color chart of 2 diferent color options to paint it.the kit comes with a nice rail bed to display your finished Locomotive, I went with the WWII camo colors of field grey and middle stone.the other option is black and red, this looks very nice also.
Top grade model

This locomotive model is of the best of quality I have ever made. After 50 years this will also be my last. I plan going all out with a diorama and full weathering effects. This is the perfect model if you want to learn how to progress with , once you have some years of model building already acquired. Wish you all the fun.
