Reviews : Trumpeter German E100 Super Heavy Tank

this is a monster kit.. glad they didn't get this in full production..WOW !!!. I usually build big kits from trumpeter. never done a 1/35 scale from them.. great kit. lots of flashing though. no biggie. did some research on this monster. only 2 made. all parts fit well. no problems. however I did add some crew members from a Tamiya kit. ( I keep spare parts). and gave it a primer red and desert sand paint job. all German tanks towards the end of the war were painted with red primer. at least that's what I've read. anyway..great kit lots of fun.

This kit is great for a young modeler just starting out and the Pro WWII tank collector alike, there are about 192 parts, this is one of the larger tanks so the parts are larger, the tracks are one rubber piece and a color page is supplied to give a idea what colors to pant this monster, There is no tank crew with this kit. all in all its a very easy kit to build, its a must have for me since I am a WWII tank collector.

Used this kit to build a diorama inspired by the photos of the actual tank as found in 1945, partially built. Used after market resin kits for the interior, and engine compartments, (Tigerll engine and driver's compartments are an easy fit. Also built one as finished tank.

This builds into a very nice model. Due to the large pieces a beginner could handle it with ease. There is enough detail that a experienced modeler could build an award winner. Since this tank was never produced anything goes with the camo.

Very easy to build. BIG tank when done. Great kit for new modelers.
