Trumpeter 1/35 Soviet NKL-16 Aerosan kit #TSM2337
This is another of the larger Aerosan vehicle kits from Trumpeter. Although somewhat simplistic in design, the kit is nicely detailed, especially in the areas of the drive engine and suspension. It also has stowage for extra skis and prop blades. The interior is arranged to carry 5 personnel (including driver), but unfortunately comes with no crew figures. Overall, the kit is good quality and nicely detailed, and I would recommend it to others.
Fun, interesting subject
This was a fun, little kit to build. There are some small details of the skis. The photo-etched sheet had lots of small detail for these skis, plus replacement holders for the two spare skis on the roof. The only fit problem was the roof had a small gap above the Driver's door. A little putty solved that problem. I left the windows off until after painting, but wish I would have just masked them. They were hard to install from the outside.
