Good fitting kit
By: CS
This was my first model that I built, and even then it came out looking pretty good. The kit is fairly recent, and so the fit is pretty spot on. There are a few places to be careful at, such as where the wing joins to the fuselage. It is held by two tiny pins, which are easy to break. This model is not a tail sitter, so there is nothing to worry about there. It comes with rubber main tyres, which you may or may not prefer. Personally, I liked it because it is one less thing to glue and paint. The horizontal stabilizers do not have any locating pins, but they are small and easy to hold in place while the glue dries. As with any model, you should read the instructions thoroughly. Something I did wrong(as a first time amateur) was to bond the canopy to the body with normal plastic cement, which is a big mistake as it fogged up the clear canopy. I'd recommend micro liquitape for clear parts. The finished product looks very sleek!
Overall quite good

This was a more advanced model in my opinion and needed extra care with delicate parts when removing them from the trees. But other than that, the fit and finish was really good, the model came out really well, the decals are good and you have a good selection.
Not for beginners though in my opinion. I am an artist and have been making model airplanes, ships both wood and plastic for almost 50 years.
Another solid Trumpeter MiG

Another solid MiG offering from Trumpeter. Fit and details and very good and the model offers a ton of configurations and paint schemes to choose from. It does however lose a (red?) star for confusing instructions; I had to redo several steps as a result.
