Nicely Detailed
This is my first model in 30 years. Coming from 1/24,1/25 scale cars, I'm impressed with the level of detail with all the AA guns on this model.Excess flash was almost non existent. Fitment of parts has been good without any major issues. I had built a few larger scale model warships in my elementary school days , the 1/700 scale is challenging for me in regards to the multitude of small pieces and the multiple colors for painting the model. All in all a good kit to relearn and hone my modeling skills.
Personal Opinion
I got this kit last December before her sistet Tirpitz. Parts are completed and the lower hull is colored. Thanks to the decals, her Baltic camouflage requires less work and although building her will take alot of work and time, it will be worth it once you're done.
Bismarck
A great detail kit of the famous German battleship Bismarck which sunk HMS Hood in May 1941. The only down side I found was beside the absent of photo etch is that the color guide is in black and white
