Absolutely convincing illusion!
Sure it's expensive, but the effect is one that will totally amaze viewers. Use Mod Podge high-gloss medium to paint some 'water' on the roof or other surface they are 'spraying' on to complete the illusion. Totally awesome for your German (due to the uniforms) model railroad.
