worth owning
This was my first time using Vallejo paints of any sort. I had a negative experience mixing Tamiya colors for a German aircraft and thought I'd give these a try.
The good:
1. no smell
2. super easy clean up and color changes
3. I did not have issues with dry tip (I did use the Vallejo thinner and flow improver)
4. Sprayed very nicely and I was able to mask them with no issues at all (NOTE I did use a primer and I also let them set over night)
The not as good
1. I could not get them at the right consistency to do the mottling. I did have to mix Tamiya colors for that. But I was using a single action airbrush and I suspect I would not have had this issue with a double action brush
2. You absolutely do need to prime for these (unlike Tamiya). I tested them on unprimed plastic and they do not go down nearly as well. Not a big deal but just something to be aware of.
I would absolutely buy these again and I will likely also buy other Vallejo model air colors
