Let's say FIRST that I'm a modeler of 50+ years (retired, with lots of time to build now-). Yes, this book is pricey (HobbyLinc has the best prices out there, tho) but there's something about studying a thing before you DO a thing. I've been able to read books like these, study the step-by-step pictures...and with the very next project I tackle, my skills improve beyond what I did previously. Like an instructional video on how to replace the cracked glass on your phone (yes, scary for some, but I replaced my own and saved $$$). Being better than you could imagine painting and realistically weathering buildings (from cardboard, foam, and plastic-!) and to make them appear REAL...that's developing not just skills, it's growing your talent.
