Cool kit - extremely difficult to build
First let me say that this kit is VERY detailed - something I appreciate. It also seems to be very poorly engineered. Not a single part goes together without having to sand, file, or drill it some to make it go together. And the instructions leave a bit to be desired, causing you to have to test fit every part multiple times. Be VERY careful about how you attach the rear axle as the instructions are vague and none of the connection points seem to match up - you will want to attach it about as far back as possible so that it will fit the body panels and allow the engine to fit in properly. The decals are Excellent - strong and able to be smoothed down over irregular surfaces with a little heat and Micro-Sol. I enjoyed building it, mainly because of how it challenged my building skills every step of the way. Would I build another one of these Modifieds - maybe, only because I know what to look out for now. This is definitely not a kit for your beginner 10 year old to try and cut his modeling teeth on.
