Clear and perfect
This product is great for laying a ground work for smaller projects within both model railroad layouts, dioramas, and war game scenes. As promised this product is exactly what it says; pure realistic clear coat great for adding water to any layout. No premixing, no messy clean up, and dries in a few hours. While drying it is pliable for waves and adding objects to a layer of 'water' to make it look and feel realistic. One piece of advice to provide people is do not use this product while the temperature is below 60° Fahrenheit (15° Celsius) as the product will not cure properly and will in fact stay in a liquid and cloudy state for between 8 and 10 hours versus the normal time of 3 to 5 hours.
Great Stuff ***Follow Directions***
When I was new to model railroading I learned a very valuable lesson when it came to water effects...deeper is not better. Here's what I mean, I was making my first pond on my layout and figured I would dig out an area 1 deep and fill it with Realistic Water. Not only did it look cloudy but I think it took a couple of years before it fully dried. The key to water effects is perception. Depth is accomplished by the use of paints before adding Realistic Water. The Realistic Water should only be between 1/16 and 1/8. Done correctly, it looks great. Watch and read the instructional materials Woodland Scenics has. And practice using the various types and methods before using them on your layout.
Convenient and good product
This did a pretty nice job for the pond on my layout. I did mix a little pond in to muddy the waters. The product shrank during drying more than I had anticipated. It doesn't seem to harden to the same extent that epoxy-like products do. Don't drop anything on your lake or it'll leave a dent! It is a lot easier to work with than 2-part epoxy products though.
Very easy to use. Pricey

This product produces excellent results and requires little effort. Just mold the liquid-y stuff into crests to produce waves and let it pool to create lakes. This works very well for making splashes because agitating this makes it whitish, which is how water splashes look like. Don't try to fill a lake the size of a tank with this stuff. That's way too expensive.
a better way of water falls
One wrote on here that it get pricey, and ya it does so i recommend that when you do water falls you should use a liter bottle (plastic) and cut to the size you need and use clear silicone to run strips down. the water will look better and you won't have that plastic film behind the water. It is paint able and trim able and saves a lot of money.
The best way I know to represent water
I have tried other polyurethanes, but now I only use Woodland Scenics' Realistic Water to represent water on my layout. It is the highest quality polyurethane drying without yellowing, cracking or bubbling when used according to the directions. It is the only water effect I recommend.
Very Realistic Water!
This liquid is ready to use right out of the bottle and very easy to apply. There are YouTube videos that depict different ways to use it in scenery. I am using several bottles to make a small lake, a pond and several running streams on my model railroad layout.
Realistic Water -- 16 oz.
I used this to create different ares of water on my layout. It worked well by itself with coloring underneath, but also used with the blue water and water effects to create runoffs and shallow puddles and areas. I recommend this and will be buying more
Not just for water any more!

When mixed with transparent acrylic paints this stuff yields fantastic light bulbs, which can then be lit with LEDs or fiber optic strands. The fact that it is pre-mixed only adds to the easy appeal of using Realistic Water.
Great product
This is a great product for smaller projects you might have. It's nice that it is already premixed and ready to go. Make sure that wherever you put this, the area is well sealed because this product will find every hole.
Realistic Water is excellent
Realistic water is very easy to use. While building up many layers to achieve the depth of lakes and rivers, the water remains clear without seams. I have tried other water methods and this one is by far the best.
Really is Realistic Water
It is a little difficult to apply and can be messy but it is a great product with excellent results. I gave it four stars instead of five because it did not spread as easy as implied by the video.
Realistic water is the best
I've used realistic water on 5 layouts now and it is always great to work with. Never have any problems. Another homerun from woodland scenics and hobbylinc.
Awsome
Awsome great asset to my War on Terror diorama. 8'x8' description of activity in Iraq, Afghanistan war zone with US Military Bases and Air Strips.

Love it
Love this product really brigs my model to life however it was a little tricky to use at first but got the hang of it after a little bit
excellent
Real water takes patience to wait for it to set but as it sets to add items to the water makes it more realistic
realistic water looks good on the PB&WR
This product works as expected The important part to be complete before you pour is to seal area before pouring
Easy water
Again, first time using this and I watched a few videos to learn a few simple tricks to apply it.
Roll river
Used this to make a river for my Weri & Daphiant RR, Easy to use but make sure you seal the bed .
Great but expensive
This is a very good product, looks great, but if you are covering large areas it may get pricey.
overall the product is as advertised
Was a bit skeptical about ordering this product, but it does what it claims. May even get more
realistic water
the product itself works great, a little more exspensive than others but always great results
