Reviews : Woodland Crates, Barrels, and Sacks

The Scenic Details models are all a bit long in the tooth, and the castings show their age. The molds are all old and worn, with significant loss of detail, lots of flash and mold lines. It took a lot of filing to make them resemble what I think they were supposed to look like, and then some careful painting. I recommend giving this a pass, and maybe someday they will update their molds. (Note: in the attached picture I don't believe I found everything that was included in the pack, as it was all spread around my layout. But everything in the manufacturer's picture was including, there were no missing items.)

The selection is actually Very Good. You get a variety of items, which can be used in a variety of platforms. I will be using them for cargo on wagons and ships. My only con is that while many of the items are stand alone, there are several sets where the items are permanently attached to each other. For me, this hinders the options you have in their use. Overall though, a very nice set.

I gave a five star rating for a much needed addition to add realism to my Railroad town.I enjoyed painting the crates,barrels and sacks.Woodland Scenic makes awesome detailed items.I very satisfied with this product and couldn't say anything negative about the product.

This is a cast white metal, will need a little clean up for flash, but is an excellent item for background use. Works well around train stations, trucking outlets, supply depots, or factories. Takes paint really well.

don't get frustrated because you have to paint them.if needed you can use the picture as an axample,they look great and add awesome detail wherever you place them.

I like this assortment. (need to find out what type of paint to use) Great addition will be putting some it the vehicles I just purchased from you store.

This kit has a good selection of miscellaneous detail. White metal which must be painted to highlight detail.
