Best detailed plastic model in a long time
The main building goes together with 4 pieces, then the fun begins. Instructions say to separate and clean up the detail parts, then stick them on sticky tape for painting. If you do that, number them in order on the tape. I elected to paint them on the trees. The instructions show pictures of the trees with parts numbered. Then I separated and cleaned (and touched up) the parts as I installed them. Plan how carefully how YOU are going to keep track of the part numbers. There are a lot of tiny details. Makes a wonderful project and a nice looking, interesting building. The pegs on the detail parts don't always fit right off the tree. Test fit EVERY part before getting out the glue. There are many opportunities to be a Craftsman with innovative additions. Could become a barrel factory or a brewery with extra barrels included. Best looking plastic model I've made since the Atlas Mayfield Station. The fun work has been left to the builder. Building the model railroad is more fun than running trains around it for me.
Not really a kit in the traditional sense
This is not really a kit, the building itself is only 2 pieces, you basically just paint things the way you like them, then glue all the details on. You certainly save a lot of money over buying built-ups and you don't need to worry about having all the walls squared up. Anyone who complains about building these had better just hang it up and spend double or triple to buy a built-up. The detail is excellent, the bricks take mortar well, unlike a lot of N scale kits where the etchings are too shallow to hold the mortar. The only downside is the windows are molded in which make it easy to assemble but harder to paint.
Factory Building
This kit is an excellent product. I found when painting to spray paint the inside black to have light coming through the doors and windows and not the walls. This also allowed for more detailed lighting. I will do this for all future buildings. I took a lot of time to get paint on exactly the parts I wanted. The parts are very small but add to the realism of the product. This required a lot of touching up, but it was definitely worth it. It would be easier to paint if the manufacturer included some color photos of the finished product. Take your time putting this together. It will be worth it.
Easy with good detail

Good quality structure with a high level of detail. The modular sections (2) of the building make this a quick and easy build and comes with lots of little extras to really make this building pop. You could keep it simple and not even use the “addition” to the main building as the structure is detailed on all sides. Would make a very nice building in the middle to rear of your layout. The only downside is pre-painting the model as it is pretty much already (roof, walls, window frames, doors) all one piece which makes detailed painting and weathering a little longer to achieve.
Building and completing
Lots of small parts that require patients. Has dry transfer decals and very difficult to put on especially in N-scale. Prefer regular decals. But with time and lots of touch up it looks great on my layout
Layout Structures
Great detail and accessory items. This structure lends itself well to interior and exterior lighting options! Pics to follow!
