large, useful building
The modern concrete warehouse is a large square building constructed using the tilt-up concrete wall method. As such it can be used from about the 1960's forward, but it would be really new in the 60s. The model is made from good, thick plastic with no flash and very little filing needed. The pieces were all flat and straight except for the 2 roof pieces, which were both warped. This did not matter to me since I had to make my own anyway. The walls are made in modular sections, allowing you to order them in any way you want. This is a particular selling point if you want to fiddle with the size of the building as I did. It was easy to put together, with nice tight joints even at the corners. I turned mine into one long building for use against a wall and it came out over 3 feet long. It could have been even longer. Overall I am quite happy with it; I might even get another. The only negatives were the warped roofs and a somewhat high price point for a pretty plain building, but I guess there is quite a bit of molded styrene in the box.
