This is a beautiful home. There is a 1 page instruction. Read first and then start work. The directions do not tell you to put the roof on the 2nd floor porch and there are many small pieces to work with. Again I painted all my parts while on the splines. After dry, I cut them apart and sand them and then I lay each piece on the paper with corresponding numbers to make assembly easier. You have to take your time to put the models together but this model is really cute and looks good on the platform.

Very good kit. I wanted it to be the house for the farm part of my layout and this went very well with the Walthers barn kit that I purchased at same time I bought this kit. Kit mainly went together easily and only part I struggled with were the chimneys. Minimal painting was required (foundation and chimney bricks), but I think this would have looked good even without those touches.

This farm house is an easy to assemble kit, perfect for a rural layout. There is also a similar kit that is a funeral home by E L Moores - Snatchem up funeral home. But I cant locate anymore of them. I have the farm house and the funeral home and have my pics of both.

I enjoyed putting this kit together. I did paint it but could be used as is. Was glad to have option of using back addition for a storage shed.
