The Char 2C was a super heavy tank designed for use in conquering the trenches of World War 1. Only 10 were built and it was never to see combat. The parts are cleanly molded and come together with a minimum fuss. There are a great many road wheels to be assembled and these are best removed from the sprues with a razor saw rather than a sprue cutter. The photo etch screens are very delicate but quite easy to attach. No interior is provided even though the side doors can be posed open. Some complaint was given to the simplified presentation of the suspension but the side skirts will conceal this. The rest of the detail is very accurate and nicely rendered. The workable track links assemble with great ease but fit very tightly to the completed model. The kit supplied barrel is descent but the metal barrel from Lionmarc will enhance the detail of the kit further. Markings are provided for three different versions. Meng has done an excellent job on this very exciting inter war tank.

This kit from Meng is very well put together and all of the moulding and plastic is really sharp with great detail. The road wheels are very numerous and may be tedious work for some. The track links were nice, they all snap and latch together with no glue and they come close off the sprue. However, the latchings are VERY fragile and you may break the tiny knobs off the links when trying to assemble. I broke several before I found a good technique to put the links together. Meng was nice enough to include extra links in this kit if you break any like I did. The rest of the kit was pretty straight forward - it's got some small fragile MG barrels and various pipes and wires on the engine that are delicate. The barrel was two piece and required putty to make it acceptable. Considering all of the MG barrels are slide moulded, I would've preferred a slide moulded Cannon barrel. I found the tracks to be pretty difficult to get on. I ended up putting too much stress on some of the connectors between tracks and they broke which makes getting them on even harder. I ended up super gluing them on in tight sections rather than try to get the whole track on at once. Other than some finicky details like I mentioned, it's a great kit, and unusual in that I haven't seen any other major company make a Char 2C. Also, if you were a fan of Battlefield 1 and you used this tank as a Behemoth, it's a nice little flashback.

Big tank left over from WW1. None made it into combat. Very detailed kit, lots of machine guns, and 2 turrets. The vision devices are accurately represented, and hatches can be built open or closed
