This kit will build to a fine castle if you take a little extra time to think through and resolve the fit issues. Thaksin problem is the way the pieces fit together. MiniArt should have used square edges but the used angled edges and this does not work well. When you cut the wall and tower pieces you will find that the remainder on the edge is round, and runs across the angled edges. This of course has to be removed and sanded flat a time consuming effort, and very difficult to do without messing up the angle fitting. I overcame these fit issues by taping the parts solidly together on the outside and using copious amounts of super glue. Why supper glue you ask? To fill the imperfect edges and provide a fast drying bond. The trick is to fold the pieces and quickly adjust the fit before the supper glue hardens. Then the pieces need to be held in place at that 90 degree angle until the bond has cured. You basically repeat this process until you get to the last join. which hopefully lines up, and you tape that in place and apply glue. It is a frustrating build to say the least, but if you follow this procedure carefully you will get a reasonable looking castle that requires a little platic putty here and there to hide imperfections. Once done and painted you should get a castle that will look good enough that you can say it was worth the effort.

Requires a lot of sanding for fit and leveling of walls to adjoin properly to towers. It was fun to build and very realistic looking. The finished product is modular for storage and for creating dioramas not featuri9ng the entire castle. Adding banners and flags was fun and for the drawbridge cable I used floral wire. Also accented the edges for the appearance of weathering. With extra pieces, I was able to assemble an additional tower, which I will use as a stand alone lookout tower.
