This 1/32 scale kit comes from a familiar Czech modeling company called Special Hobby. The pros for this kit are as follows: You have two paint schemes to choose from and the one I did is MS 394, probably Escadrille (Squadron in French) MS.12, 1915. The only other paint scheme included is on the cover of the box called MS 391 Dunkerque, neither unit nor date are known. For the most part painting of the aircraft is straight-forward. The decals were quite easy to get off the paper though the rudder decals are slightly too big and one of the roundels had a small tear but it was an easy fix. The cons for this kit are as follows: Much of the building assembly for the cockpit, engine, and machine gun areas left a lot to be desired. In other words, the instructions for the assembly of these areas were more complicated than they should be. For instance, I had to use some crack filling glue to fill in the gaps within the fuselage. Photo-etched pieces PP9 and PP17 for the tail section were way too thin and way too small to work with so I didn’t use them. The wiring area was not possible with the wing mounted decals and I didn’t do any wiring along with photo-etch piece PP12. In conclusion, I give this kit a rating of 3 stars out of 5. Special Hobby if you’re reading this I highly recommend that you make your assembly instructions a lot more precise and easier to understand. This also includes having no very thin and very small photo-etch pieces at all with any of your kits moving forward. Other than that, its not the worst kit I’ve built from you but it’s definitely not the best either.
