Interesting Supercar Model
This GMA T.50 kit from Tamiya is a great representation of the innovative driver-centric supercar designed by Gordon Murray. The casting is clean and detailed and the fit is excellent. The windows are attached individually into a monocoque part without cement. Then window frame pieces to hold them in place are glued on. A nice method that gives you a very clean finished look. Another innovative component of the T.50 is the rear fan which maximizes ground effect by drawing air from the underside. Tamiya has incorporated into this unique rear fan section some metal etched pieces, that again, are attached without gluing. Also, I really enjoy reading the descriptions and history that Tamiya includes with their kits. They are informative and help with decisions about your build. Like with this kit, Tamiya tells how the silver and orange colors represent the GMA catalog model, but owners get to choose their own custom colors. So for this model I choose Tamiya Brilliant Blue (TS44) and Black (TS14) because I like the look of the two together. One final word of appreciation to Hobbylinc for including submitted pictures from fellow modelers. Those great photos made me want to get this kit.
