Great paint, user friendly

Tamiya paints are the best out there. Easy to use, fast drying, smooth application.

A little tricky to use

There are pros and cons to this transparent black paint. I used it for window tint. It applies well like any other Tamiya lacquer but you have to be careful to build it up even to have it look right. 2 coats is about all it took to get a light smoke. I found that a third coat can make it darker but it is harder to get a level even finish. Overall, it works pretty well, there's just a bit of a learning curve. Don't forget to heat the can before application.

Very hard to get right

This is the first product by Tamiya that I haven't been happy with. No matter what I did, warmed the can, shook to death, sprayed light mist coats, this stuff sprayed out black blobs that really messed up the windows on an otherwise great build. I contacted Tamiya and they were set to send me a replacement, when they shut down due to the Corona virus stuff. I don't know if I had a bad can or not, but as of now I cant recommend it.
