Being fairly new into the hobby and solely hand brushing (so far) I wanted to find a way to replicate soft edges and mottled camo patterns that really can only be achieved via air brushing. After trying numerous other methods that did not achieve the result that I wanted, I figured I'd give this product a try. After practicing on a spare model I'm fairly pleased with the results. It's certainly not as good as an airbrush, but it replicates the patterns when viewed from far away. Basically, I use this product 50/50 with the desired paint and dry brush/stipple it on to the model using an old brush. It allows the paint to be applied thinly without messing with the pigments in the paint. The key to remember is that less is more. You can easily build more paint on top of your initial results to achieve your desired effect. Does it look perfect in the end? No, but it is the best method I've found so far using a hand brush. It's certainly worth giving it a shot if you don't want to go all in with an airbrush from the start.
